What Factors Determine The Value Of My Gold?

  1. Weight of the Gold: Gold is typically measured in grams or troy ounces. The more it weighs, the higher the payout based on market value.

  2. Current Market Price: Gold prices fluctuate daily based on global demand, supply, and economic conditions. We always pay according to the latest live market rate.

  3. Type of Gold Item: Gold coins, bullion, and jewelry are valued differently. Rarity, craftsmanship, and collectability can significantly impact price.

  4. Purity: The higher the purity the higher the gold content in the same piece. If something is 10k it means that it is 41.7% gold vs 22k which is 91.7% gold.

  5. Buyer Demand: Certain designer, vintage, or antique pieces may sell for a premium due to collector interest or brand recognition.

FAQs

Have questions about your valuables? Give us a call for a free consultation!

  • To ensure the privacy and safety of our patrons, we require all customers to schedule an appointment before visiting.

We also reserve a few slots each day for same-day appointments to accommodate short-notice requests.

  • To ensure your privacy and a focused experience, we require all customers to make an appointment before visiting. We always ensure to leave a few same day appointments. During your appointment, we will review your collection together, explaining each step of the process and clarifying the value of your items. Once the evaluation is complete, we will present a no-pressure offer to purchase your collection on the spot! Whether a large or small collection you can trust the offer will be fair & competitive.

  • We currently do not offer foreign money exchange (for example USD to Euro or Yen and vice versa). Your local bank can help you before or after your trip!

  • Unless the coin has been graded by PCGS or NGC or is one of the famous ones (1922 no D wheat cent, 1955 double die, or the 1942/1 mercury dime). Any modern errors from 1956 to present day we don't buy.

  • Dimes & quarters from 1964 & earlier, as well as half dollars from 1970 & earlier, were made in silver and worth significantly more than their face value. Coins after these dates are usually just worth their face value unless marked silver in the US proof or mint sets.

  • Often the answer is yes, but there are many exceptions. Just because a coin is “old” does not make it valuable. The price while dependent on supply also relies on demand to increase value. There are many coins that are thousands of years old that can be purchased for under $20.

  • Cleaned coins lose value because most cleaning products are abrasive, you can easily damage the coins, and even non-abrasive cleaners can react poorly with other metals in the coins.

  • We currently don't have the option for this. Many banks and CoinStar's will be able to service your needs.

  • At we continue to grow we find ourselves spending more time assisting customers and may not be able to answer the phone/email right away. Please leave a voicemail or call again and we will make every effort to return your call as soon as possible!

  • Whether you have items in bulk, or a lawyer is involved we have helped buy such collections. Since these are large and take time, please ensure to schedule at least a day in advance to ensure a time slot will be available.
